In May of 2017 a couple of us got together with a desire to do some form of theater in VR. Having a lot of ideas for theatrical plays in VR, we started improv as a way to test some of them out. Little did we know that VR would be the perfect platform for something like improv. Three years later, we are now residing in our third improv theater and have constantly refined what we do in to what you see today.
I think everyone in the group will agree that having fun is the most important part of what we do. Making ourselves, each-other, and the audience laugh helps make everyone's day brighter and is very rewarding overall. The effort we put in to making this production happen every week is worth it.
We very much use the popular TV series "Whose Line is it Anyways?" as our inspiration. Our shows run about an hour long and we typically fit 4-5 games in that span of time. The actors have no idea ahead of time what they are going to say, so the show really tests their wits and abilities. Everything is 100% improvised and it's amazing to see what these guys can do.
